Just wondering what yalls thoughts are on this gun. Seen one the other day in bottomland camo that looked really sharp.
My issues with it is
Although I shoot 3" 98% of the time it's only a 3" gun.
It has at least a 26" but possibly a 28" barrel. A 24" would be great.
I would hate to spend the money then kick my self for not spending a little more to get a 3.5" gun although I try to stay away from 3.5"

I know the topic has been best to death on here but I'm looking for a nice semiauto deciated turkey gun, that won't destroy the bank account.

Beretta makes an A300 turkey version with a 24 inch barrel...

Get it, you won't need the 3.5" shell. Beretta makes good stuff.  I was looking at the a300 turkey last year and was very tempted.

I have the Beretta A-300 outlander. It serves as turkey n duck gun. 3 vs 3.5 doesn't matter to me but wish I had 21" barrel when turkey hunting. Mines a 26"

The gun has worked well for Ducks and doves.

They are good guns.  I would go with the 3 inch because it has the Mobile Choke not the HP choke.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

Thanks for the info guys. 3" is what I shoot 99.8% of the time anyways, I just didn't want to regret not getting the 3.5" in the long run. Still trying to talk myself into it tho, more than likely I'll keep using my 835 and 935. A lighter automatic would be nice to have tho, maybe I'll just keep looking and run across something one day

Those are great guns for the money.  I don't think the extra recoil is worth the slight increase in pattern density you get.  With good ammo and good choke you won't miss the 3.5" at all.  I think you would more likely regret  getting a 28" or 26" barrel instead of the 24" barrel

I've heard nothing but good things about those shotguns.

If you're not shooting steel for waterfowl, there is absolutely no reason to consider a 3.5" in my opinion.  However, if you are a handloader, you can possibly take advantage of the higher SAAMI pressure spec that 3.5" guns are tested at.

Do you realize how many turkeys fell to 2 3/4" or 3" before the advent of the 3 1/2" roman candles, bigger isn't always better!
