Hello everyone looking for opinions on a pattern.. Shooting a Winchester SXP longbeard gun, 2.5oz Apex #8`s currently getting around 424 to 415 with this load at 40 in the 10inch circle. Is this standard pellet counts for this load are should I be expecting more. Currently running a IC 665 pith a polished barrel.  :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an

I am not sure that is good enough, I will let the experts chime in.  I know with lead you want 100 hits evenly spaced out in a 10 inch circle at 40.  With TSS it seems like you need a lot more, at least that is what I am seeing in patterns and what people are seeking/chasing.

Just make it a 12" circle and you will get more..... ;D :toothy12: :angel9:
...Okay,...I'll shut up now.... :toothy9:

Way more tight than I would want, and do not understand a 2.5 oz load.

Hah I think you'll probably be fine

Thanks, the pattern is nice an even just was wondering about expected numbers. And yes I shoot 2.5 oz cause no one makes a 3oz load as of now.

I have seen talk of it before, but know one commercially produces one unless I have missed something.

No, it is not commercially produced. It has to be handloaded.  A forum member tested it for the maker and it put up big numbers, more pellets than anyone has a need for but impressive.

I would look outside of the 10" circle at 40 yards.  What does it look like?  If it is minimal, it may be tighter than you want, especially on birds that are closer say 20 and 30 yards.  IMO

I have a picture on my phone but have no idea how to post it.. :begging:

67% inside the 10" that's tight! I'd also be interested in the 10"-20" pattern with only ~211 pellets left in that load I'm guessing its not leaving much room for error.

I understand and support your 2.5oz load desires.
