Been seeing some advertisements for the bogpod rest on spring thunder, anyone have any use/luck with one of these?

Carry one all the time. IMO a great piece of equipment.

Sure helps when your gun has to be shouldered for an extended period of time.

Are you talking a tripod or the gun rest on top, I have a couple of BogPods (short & tall) I always go with the tripod for stability and it can be hunted in any manner. When I have the kids out I am using a Primos triggerstick in the tripod, just is easier for the kid to adjust "on the fly" and in the blind. As far as a gun rest we use Caldwell Deadshot Treepod, modified for the blind not a Run & Gun setup...
