Wife got her a turkey gun
Now I gotta figure out were to start
Hoping to stay with 6 shot though
Hadn't dial in a 20 b4 so trying not to spend too much money
Anybody with experience with Weatherby I will gladly listen

Glad your wife has a new turkey gun. What kind of shells are you looking for her ?.... Federal HW 6 shot are pretty good shells....

FL-Boss

I can tell you if the pa-08 20 ga is anything like the SA-459 20ga... you can't go wrong with Federal #7 or Hevi #7... they are both good and hit hard.  As for choke.. Carlson .575-.585 is my preference.. they are cheap and pattern great in these little Weatherby 20's...

VaBoy

Go to the 20 gauge gun page and look thru past post or ask any question you have on there and you will get hooked up pronto. Welcome to the 20 gauge club...

Blong

Just get something around .562 and some Apex #9. Can't go wrong.

Any reason you are tied to #6 shot?   No sense in reinventing the wheel.  Everyone on here is gonna tell you federal HW #7.  They are the gold standard 20 gauge factory load

 :TrainWreck1:no reason I am tied to 6
Just a 12 guy and always shot 6
But I am gonna listen to you guys and start with hvy. 7
Buy her a choke for xmas and go from there lol
Try and find some shells in the mean time

TauntoHawk

got my wife the SA-459 20ga put a fast fire on top and a carlson choke some boxes of HW#7's and the thing replaced my 12 everytime she doesn't hunt I take it lol
