I don't have the stoned aluminum but have tried many on his slick and still go back to the one he sent with it.

I like a Bill Lyman snakewood and ipe. Harold Fowler Kingwood. Cox one piece dymondwood or tulipwood. Lon's striker sounds real good on it too.

Lons one-piece dymondwood, his two piece dymondwood or Lyman snakewood all sound great.

Any striker bill lyman makes sounds good on it. I actually have used his dymalux striker on mine and it sounds great. I know they say the resin can load up and make the aluminum slick but mine hasn't! I also love his tulipwood as well.

I'll second the dymalux, but I also think the striker he sends with the call is hard to beat.

Thanks, Gents.   With your striker suggestions the call sounds great. One of the best aluminium calls that I have run.

Again I don't have the stoned but the slick one I have makes me smile every time I play it, I had a bird this year gobbling behind me across a creek, I thought no way he would come but he did, saw me turn my head when he gobbled behind me, turned head 1/32 of a inch and was busted by the best eyes in the woods, but that caller did its job!

Fowler green dymondwood or a McLain ironwood. ..
