Me and my dad headed out to the farm in hopes of him tagging out on his birthday.  We worked a few birds at one property early, but they soon faded off.  So we went a couple miles down the road to another property and set up where birds have been using a road to travel because of the tall grass in the fields.  After only being there for about a half hour I got one to gobble behind us around 8:45.  Soon I could see the bird through the tree line about 20 yards away.  He then locked up in strut and walked right down the road, where my dad ended his day at about 12 yards.  First gobble was about 8:45 and we were taking pictures by 9:00.  My dad tagged out on his birthday.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
