Longbeard chokes where to start?
April 16, 2017, 04:57:47 PM
Has anyone done a good amount of patterning with Longbeard 6's? I have a few boxes and didn't know if I should start tight or more open. I have quite a selection of chokes to choose from. Pure Gold .555 and .570,Jellyhead .570,TG SSX,Remington super full lead only and super full hevi, steel, lead(not sure of constrictions with out measuring. Also have flush mount full. Any idea where to start?

I would start with the ssx 550 ,saw another post with this choke 168 hits in the 10'' at 40 steps.

Id imagine a Indian Creek/ Mad Max. Or Pure Gold with long beards would work well.

Most of them should work well with the longbeards...
