Well all the planning and waiting is about over. On Thursday morning this Pennsylvania boy heads west for my first out of state hunt in 16 years. Hoping for my merriams, but really just looking forward to seeing new country and hunting a strange area with a lifelong friend!  Gonna be hard to concentrate on my work the next 2 days!

Out of state hunting is Great!  Don't get caught up in the kill, enjoy the friendship, the country and the trip.  Merriams are a fun bird to hunt.  HAVE FUN!

Thanks guys!  The way my season went last spring(and the way it's shaping up this spring) just hearing some birds would be great. I'm almost looking forward to the trip out as much as the hunt. Life gets pretty busy and I tend to spend more and more time working and seem to drift away from my old friends more and more. A good road trip is just what the doctor ordered!!
