What kind of numbers were any of you guys getting with the original winchester extended range #6.  3.5" 2oz loads (not lead)?  Anyone have any results with a jebs choke?
How do these compare to Federal HW and Hevi Shot?  Any information on these rounds would be helpful.. Thanks

I don't have numbers for you, but I can tell you what I use. Heavy Shot choke tube with Win, Extended range 3-1/2" # 6 shot. I don't have the results any longer but they were great. Because of the five dollars per shell cost shots were minimal. One of the most even patterns I have shot. I am down to three boxes left and I will deal with it when the time comes. Until then they are the best shot I have ever hunted.......Good Luck!!!

I shot hundreds of rounds of those 3" shells with 1.75 oz of #6 shot in competition and for hunting and a much lesser number of the 3.5" shells. I can't give you any numbers but at the time, they were some of the best shells I'd ever shot. Most of us shot them through very tight chokes, in the .640 to .650 range.
I let a friend have the last case of those shells that I had a few years ago. While I have not shot any of them through a JEB'S choke, I suspect that they'd be deadly in a .650 or .655 JEB'S.
Thanks,
Clark

Thanks for the replies.  I have a Franchi Intensity and a Jebs .655 that I am going to try them in.  I have enough shells to last a few years if this combo works out.

I could never break mid 200's with them no matter what choke I used in the 835 and 870's.

I am getting 180-190 in a super Nova with a trulock .660. Always a nice even pattern.
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

Expect nice even patterns with the right choke. I shot a #5 the other day and was in the 180s if I recall. Going to miss that load.

As far as the Federals, find out which choke to use. I shot a 3.5  1 7/8  #7  out of an 870 with a .665 Indian Creek and only got 192 in the 10 and it was patchy. I'm sure it was the wrong type choke for that load. Pic attached of feds
