Finally got to shoot my 1300 nwtf 20 ga today with the swarm tube that Clark recommended. Didn't bother counting but it was more than ample at 35 and I'm betting it's fine for 40 based on pattern density. Having said that, it's about 4" high. Thought about slapping a red dot on it but I doubt the mount will be here in time so I'm not going to bother with it as I'll be aiming at the base of the neck. Just wanted to gather input from those that get concerned with such matters.

Might try a taller front bead. Such as Hi Viz or Tru Glo magnetic sight. Maybe also TruGlo pro series clamp on sights. I am sure you have tried this, but keep your head down tight on the stock.

Maybe its just me, but it seems like a lot of Winchester shoot high. You could always aim low at the base of the neck, and just use a little Kentucky windage.

Allot of my guns have a middle bead and I can adjust for up and down.
