Hunting the George Washington National Forest???
April 04, 2017, 04:27:32 AM
I have decided on one of my 4 day weekends I want to ride to the mountains and try to get a mountain bird. Being from the flat part of Va it would be a completely different experience. I just have no idea how to get started or the rules behind it. Do I have to stay in a campground or can I park at one of the many pulloffs and setup camp there is my main question. Any help would be appreciated.

Call whatever ranger district you plan on hunting. You used to be able to camp pretty much wherever but it may have changed.
