So, I just had to shoot today. This is the gun I have for my son and it is ready to hunt.
Remington 870 Compact, 22" barrel, 65 degrees. All shots with 1 7/16 oz of TSS #9. The inner circle is an 8" circle from a target at the range, it was all I could find to get a decent idea of the 10" numbers, to see if I wanted to try the Rem SF.
First three were with a Hastings .562
Shot #1 221
Shot #2 207
Shot #3 209

Tighter than I want. At 20-30 yds this is really going to tighten up.
Trial of the Rem SF .570 is really the ticket
Shot #1 at 40 yds

His max shot will be 30 yds, so this is at 30 yds

What do yo think? I am very pleased with the 30 yd shot. I have him aim at the waddles, so this is exactly what I want the pattern to be, just a tick high.
