Mossberg = brutal recoil, whether its an auto or a pump. I can't explain why they have more recoil than other brands, but there is a definite increase when shooting Mossbergs.

I really appreciate all the information, has any one had any experience with the Mossberg 935. I've also heard that there a great gun.
My good friend has one.  I have shot it a few times, mostly at clay pigeons, but it is a surprisingly soft shooter and I liked it.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Older Remington 1187. Not necessarily "old school" but something in that early year range. New ones aren't built like the old ones. All mine are from the early 90's. You can't beat them
I agree w this, while I'm primarily a pump guy for turkeys I do still have a bunch of older turkey guns(just in case). 2 are 11/87s. One is a SP10. The older quality is better imo n you'd not go wrong finding an 11-87 made in the later 80s early 90s.

To be fair there are very few to almost no guns being built better than they used to be. It's all plastic parts, things breaking, recalls, etc etc etc and they're being made in some country we prob shouldn't buy anything from

I have a 935 and I like it, BUT I would be willing to bet POI will be 10 to 12" above POA. Burris fixed that for me.

I've been a 12 ga Benelli man for many, many years but then I started loading TSS and now I'm a 20 ga man.   After doing a lot of research on this site and others I bought a Weatherby SA459.

I too recently purchase a couple of the Weatherby SA459's in 20 ga.  I haven't got to hunt with it yet but based on my experience on the range with it I think I'm going to be very pleased.  Prior to that I used a Benellt SBE in a 12 and it made for a fine turkey gun.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

I really like my 935 kyturkeyhunter....I've used it for the past 6 seasons.   Killed a bunch with it ...a tad heavy in the world of autonloaders but it also didn't break the bank for me which was big priority for me at the time!  I have it paired with a truglo SSX choke and use  long beard XRs with great results! God bless

The 935 is another excellent shotgun. It's a bit heavy, muzzle heavy, but otherwise just fine. I put a very thin Cheek EEZ pad on the comb of mine and it allowed me to shoot it without the cheek slap that I experienced before doing that.

Mine was very reliable in 3-4 seasons of turkey hunting and a lot of use in evaluating chokes and shells. It would keep on going even when quite dirty.

A friend of mine wanted a 935, so I let him have it and he seems very happy with it.

Thanks,
Clark
Thanks Clark I Appreciate That
