:'( Apparently mossy oak has discontinued the new breakup line of clothing. Hate this cause I really loved that pattern. It pretty much blended in everywhere in any condition. Liked it a lot better than the country pattern. Very sad.

Wow. One of my favorite patterns as well. How did you find out about this news?

I have to admit - I got one of their fleece jackets in the new "Break-Up Country", and I really like it. Probably gonna be a favorite (along with bottomland).

Nothing new. It's camo maker 101. New camo patterns sell. Not because they are more effective but because they are new. Hunters flock to a new product like cattle to a feed trough. 20 years from now they can reintroduce it (like they did with bottomland) and make a killing on it again!

The army bdu's that have the green, black, and brown patterns are just as effective as anything else. We, as hunters (for reasons only manufacturers can understand), feel that a "new" pattern must be better than what we've already got. Like it's going to give us an edge or something. Not likely but if it installs some level of confidence, we're going to use it.

Exactly...  If we are all honest with ourselves, we would agree that any subdued colors that reasonably blend in with surroundings will work - brown / green / tan / black. BUT, we all feel soooo much more sexy in the latest, greatest patterns... lol.

I found out by looking on their website. If they carry it but they are out of stock it just says out of stock. It's not even listed as an option now. I liked it way better than the new breakup country. To me that pattern has too much grey. The other breakup would work an any environment anywhere because of the way the pattern was laid out. Spring, fall or winter in any situation. Just upset, guess I'll go primarily to bottomland now.

I'll challenge you and say the most effective camo patterns will surprise you.  I personally think if I could have just one it would be my ASAT leafy suit

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

ASAT leafy suit is definitely the way to go. I've had mine for 5 years and won't hunt with anything else.

Congratulations on the deer and the pictures with the kids are priceless bud.

Apologizing:  does not always mean you are wrong and the other person is right.
It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.

Thanks guys. I shot another bigger 8 point last Friday with my muzzleloader. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of them with that one too but they were sleeping by the time I got home.

Ive come to realize that after falling for this trap for years,I see/kill just as much game wearing carhartt brown or green pants with a plaid shirt as I do/did wearing the latest and greatest. Still got a closet full of it though! ;D
