Benellia Nova 12 - Mobil choke / Will be shooting  Win. LB's 5's or 6's, 3" or 3.5" depending on pattern, so....

Carlson's LB choke @ 650?
SumToy               @ 650? (listed as recommended)
Kick's GT              @ 665?
IC                       @ 665?
BoneCollector        @ 667?
Other                         ??

*Last yr I put a Carlson's LB in my M2 and I'm happy - it's a 665. Wondering about the 650? recommendation for the Nova (Ber / Ben mobil). Looking for even pattern capable 20 - 40 yds. Don't need crazy numbers at 40 if it means a slug hole at 20.

Suggestions? Experience?

Thanks for your time!

I shoot a number of Benelli shotguns, including a Nova. All pattern well but some like to be clean and others slightly fouled. They all have different personalities. All throw more even pattens with #6 shot than with #5 shot but properly choked they do just fine with the #5s as well.

I only shoot 3.5" shells when doing some type of evaluation and find that 3" shells do all that's needed to cleanly kill a turkey.

The Bone Collector is a choke that hunters seem to have just "discovered" in the last few months, just as those chokes have become increasingly hard to find. Frankly, it's an excellent design that throws very good patterns with a variety of shells, including the WLBs. It would have to be one of my choices with that gun.

Whatever you choose, best of luck to you this season.

Thanks,
Clark

My older style jelly head throws some wonderful patterns with the longbeard #5s
