I've got a 25 minute daily commute along a farmland riverbottom highway.
See birds reguarly in the fields.
On the way in this morning, 7:00am, I seen a bunch and for the first time this year, there were 2 nice toms strutting their tails off for all their lady friends.  :jackson:
Got my blood pumping to see. Glad its almost time!

What state are you in? That's a good sign!

Saw strutters in Kansas this morning.

I seen one here in Iowa the middle of January strutting in the snow.  There were about 30 birds only one strutting.

That's very encouraging when you start seeing that in your area!  I'll be looking and listening this weekend here in Indiana. Always look forward to that first gobble of the season!

2 weeks ago there were 4 winter flocks within 2 miles of where I hunt - close to 1000 birds in the 4 fields.  Just a couple of puffers between the 4 flocks

Last week, the same 4 fields were down to maybe 200 birds, but a half dozen strutters.

Season is only a month away!
