I hope all you minimalist don't forget toilet paper. Oh ,I guess if your a mini you would of surely use leaves.
Yup I've used leaves before!! Lol

Trumpetyelper

Lots of my hunts include Camo, Vest, and a Frank Cox Trumpet Yelper.

TKE921

Killed my first solo bird and only had my shotgun/shells, ground seat, and one Primos WP-1 mouth call.

Had the bird hammering at me for 30 min and then a 30 min monsoon with lightning ran me back to the house.  I only went back out with minimal gear because I had lost one of my gloves on my retreat from the lightning.  When I found my glove I gave 1 cluck and 2 yelps...game on again.

Me too, I like TP a lot better though. ;D I don't carry a lot of stuff, but that's one thing I always have with me.

Love late morning run and gun, shotgun loaded with 3 rounds, seat cushion and mouth call!  kill many that way.

No I'm not.  I do carry quite a few items but after doing this every year since I was seven years old I carry what I use and leave the rest at home.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Gun, TP, wingbone call, mouth call, tube call, camera & tripod because I film my hunts. Might bring snacks or water or something else, but those mentioned above are all I really need.

Since I hunt a lot before work I hunt extremely light.  Camo overalls over my work clothes, mouth call, gun....

I was just thinking about this the other day.  I used to carry everything, even calls I hadn't used in years.  Then I hunted the Black Hills.  After about day 2, all I carried was my gun with 2 extra shells, 2 mouth calls and a box call, and a bottle of water and a granola bar.  Those mountains were no joke.  For 2 years after, I didn't even wear a vest.  Slowly, I went back to a very small vest and I carry a slate call and 2 strikers (not sure why, I never use them).  Box call for those windy days, several mouth calls, crow call (again, not sure why, I don't use it).  I do carry a spare set of gloves and an extra facemask.  Lost one of all of these things before and they don't take up much room.  TP is in a ziplock bag with my licenses, and sometimes I'll carry a map in my pocket.
