Good Morning,
I just bought the New A5 and was looking for choke tubes for this turkey season, I have heard of Kicks, Jeds, Indian river, Ect. I was just curious as to any suggetions y'all may have, if not it looks like I will be buying a few and seeing which one patterns the best for this A5.

First of all, welcome to OG. It's a great site with many folks who will be very helpful. We're glad you're here and look forward to hearing more from you.

Congratulations also on your new A-5. It's an excellent shotgun and should give you years of great service.

I would recommend the JEB's Turkey choke for your A-5 http://allaboutshooting.com/products/jebs-12-gauge-turkey-choke-new-a-5 It's exceptionally well designed and throws excellent patterns with a variety of shotshells. It's also currently on sale, so that's a good thing as well.

Thanks,
Clark

Thank you all, I have been researching today and the JEB's Choke seems to be the way to go. I will order it and as soon as it comes in I will give an update on how it shoots. Thanks again!

The other Question is choke size. What works best ect. I have always used a Mossberg 500A that I got when I was 12 and I of course bought the TruGlo Walmart special Choke tube, and it has turned heads to Jelly just fine. I just want to know y'alls thoughts on the sizes and what has worked best for y'all over the years.

For size it depends on what shot you want to shoot. When you look at Jebs or whomever you go with they usually recommend shot size based on diameter of the tube. The wider the diameter the larger shot you should use (usually).I have an A-5 and I use a patternmaster choke. It shoots flight control federals good. If you look at patternmaster's website they say their chokes strip the wade away from the shot. By rights this choke tube shouldn't really shot flight control shot well but it's one of their tubes that they say you can shot the flight control out of. The best pattern I achieved with this tube was with winchester #5's beard buster ( I think that's what they're called). The pattern is very dense; however, the pattern is high and to the right so I stayed with the flight control loads#4's. So far I have killed 4 birds with these shells and at 40+ yards. I recently bought a pure gold choke tube to see what that will do. I really want to shot the winchesters because of the pattern. I have also researched 3 or 31/2. The only different I have read on the Internet is that they just carry a few more pellets. The person who wrote the article said the only difference was the number of pellets in the kill zone. It ranged anywhere from 3 to 5 pellets. Of course the 3 1/2 had the more pellets in the kill zone. The writer made it sound like that difference was no big deal. To me I like more pellets; however, my shoulder doesn't.
Not sure if this helped any, I just wanted to share my experience. I do love the gun!!!!
