I am about to buy my first AR.  I am not looking to spend a lot so I can stay married.  I've been looking at the DPMS Oracle, Bushmaster ORC, and the M&P (all in 5.56).  Does anyone have experiences with these guns or helpful advice?  I will be using this gun mainly for predator hunting and a little recreational shooting, I won't be putting thousands of rounds through it every year.  Thanks in advance and have a blessed new year!!

I bought a Windham a couple years ago and love it. They're built in Maine and the company was started from a bunch of ex Bushmaster employees. Check it out..

I believe all you mentioned should be fine for your intended purpose. My boss just got an M&P, really likes it so far.

I'm a smith guy, I've got an M&P sport with a carry handle. I bought three flat tops for my dept. very dependable guns.

My DPMS Oracle has been great.  It runs like a top and is very accurate.

The bushmaster used to have the military contract so you cant go wrong there.

I've been looking for my 1st AR.
I'm currently looking towards Stag Arms 3T-M.
Nice features for the price.
Just read a review in current Guns & Ammo.......good review.

Purchased a M&P Sport 2 today.  Think I'm really going to like it.  I will dress it up a little over the next year but will be a very sharp gun.  Picked it up for 595 so I'm pretty happy.
