One or two hens?

So, I already have an Avian-X feeding hen. I have a gift card to Cabela's and am thinking of putting it towards another hen. Would I be better off with just one hen, or should I add another one? If so, which pose would be best to compliment a feeding hen?

I honestly don't think it matters. Turkeys are flock birds so two can't hurt. Woodsmanship is more key though. In mountains come green up you can't see dekes anyway

I would get a DSD jake.  Always exciting to watch a gobbler do a mean walk up to him and commence to flogging the daylights out of it.

Add 2 hens.  I've seen lone gobblers not come in when a jake is present.  Oftentimes, multiple jakes will put a whooping on a lone mature bird.

If you want to stay with a hen, I would have a upright hen to pair with a feeder. If you are opening this up to any style decoy, when used "right" you can't beat a strutter! I have several DSD decoys and are used from seasons start to seasons end and just depends on where I am and what stage the birds are in.

Gobble!

I would get a 1/4 strut jake if you dont have one.

The DSD strutter is the cats meow, but difficult to transport any distance. 1/4 strut gets the job done w/o the transportation issues.

I've had success with 2 hens, a jake and hen and a lone hen.

Avian-X breeder hen. Final answer! I started with the breeder and added the feeder last year. I know I'm in the minority around here, but I wouldn't trade my Avians even up for DSDs. When I use a jake, I have my customized Jake-Mobil.
