My daughter shot her first turkey this am..She decided she wanted to hunt turkey's this year, so I took her out last Sunday and we came close, but the hens stole our prize..This morning was a different story..Birds weren't gobbling at all this am for us...we decided to get in my double bull blind and sat up on a field with a dusting area the birds frequent..after a few hours of calling every 20 minutes , or so, I nice gobbler shows up, he enters the field and i call, he gobbles immediately, I coaxed him in to 30 yards and my daughter made a perfect shot and dropped him in his tracks. Great Morning to be in the woods! Doesn't get any better!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
