been following this gobbler around for two weeks. I have patterned his roost, feeding and movements. I knew where to find this guy and al oust exactly when to find him. Saturday we had light rain and cool temps, perfect TN turkey hunting. Finally took him down.

Thanks. It is great to pattern the birds, watch them for weeks, then pick one out and take him down. There has been three big toms in the area hogging all the fun. The 3-5 jakes in the area haven't been able to do much. So it was neat to contribute to the hunt in this way. Typically, it feels lucky to get something to come in, but I knew where this guy was and could pattern the hunt. Great experience.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
