We're quickly moving through the TN season and I haven't shouldered my gun on a turkey yet. But! I am not complaining because I have been fortunate to be on some very good and exciting hunts so far this year. I was able to help my cousin get a bird. And I was also able to help a friend get his first turkey ever. Read Here:http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,54866.0.html

Now, I am going with my cousin and her husband in the morning to try and help them get their first turkeys.  Seems like all I've done so far this season is guide but I enjoy the whole hunt not just pulling the trigger.  I get excited when other people get to experience what I've been experiencing for a while.

Don't get me wrong - I still love to smash an old gobblers head myself, but, I guess that's not what it's all about.

Thanks for reading and I wish each of you great success this season!

Sounds like you have 2 birds this year to me!  Pulling the trigger is the easy part.  You killed them birds.  Good job and I know you have made some memories.  My favorite ever turkey hunt was my son piling up one of 4 jakes at 26 yards with his 870 20g when he was 12.  I'd been seeing their tracks and knew where they were hanging out. Made a little natural ground blind and set in it with him.  Took one day of hunting.

Ahh, you'll get it done, just stay after them.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Thanks fellas.  We almost got one for my cousin this morning.  About 50 yards out but just wouldn't cooperate.

I was finally able to get my cousins husband his first turkey ever!  It was a very memorable moment and one that I will never forget.  His reaction was incredible.  What a treat for me to be there for his first turkey kill.

Hope everyone is having a great season.  Going to try to get my cousin one this week.  Then I will be back after one for me.

I find it just as exciting seeing someone kill their first

Congrats on some great guided birds. Good luck to you!!

Good deed and job your doing! As others have said, those are your birds as much as theirs. The trigger pull is the end, not the hunt or the best part. Congrats to all of ya'll!
