its just domestics that have been effected.. so at this point and time it only means higher meat prices at the grocery store

I heard from a solid source that wild birds are not affected by this.  I hope they are right.

Several large turkey and chicken farms in Iowa have it now and they are killing them all. The USDA says its coming wild birds geese and other waterfowl. Time will tell I`m hoping for the best

Not a problem from what I understand with wild birds. They are not in a enclosure with thousands of other birds.

They have already found it in waterfowl. It will be in every flyway come fall. Not a problem in current form for wild birds it doesn't appear, but viruses mutate all the time.

we just got whacked here in southern Ontario Canada with bird flu two farms near my home have been shut down and thy are putting several thousand birds down this week ,thy have locked down a lot of farms in the area ..not good and will drive the price of turkey up in the stores for sure ,,right now it is just two farms were thy are culling the birds but it will be more in the next few weeks ,Dutch

I hope it doesn't get too out of hand. Along with being a bird hunter I raise chickens for meat and keep a handful of hens around for eggs. This could get ugly.
