Shot Hevi 13 3/2/6's out of a gun that used to turn 200-220 with this load. Finished up one box shooting erratic patterns out of a clean gun Rem 870/ Indian Creek 665. Started the next box with a uniform pattern at 30, went to 40 and shot a 106, 109. Not good. Disgusted. They got my money for the last time.
Time to put the Kicks .655 back in. It will turn 180's in a 12" @ 40 with XX 3/2/6's and 214 in a 10 with Win LB 3" 6's.

That's why I bought a lifetime supply of hevi 13 when I setup my turkey gun. I SHOULD never NEED to buy another turkey she'll for the rest of my days....I'll be 37 tomorrow...dang that sounds old.

What really concerns me was the box that I shot 3 or so out of that was all over the place was an old box of 3/2/6's. The new box shot uniform and consistent at 30 and 40 but the numbers were just low.

I bought a stockpile of Hevi 13 3/2/7 after patterning my gun too, and shouldn't need to buy ammo for a while...but I have noticed that the buffer leaked out of a couple shells.  To get rid of them I shot them at the range, they did not pattern nearly as well as the sealed loads.

Couple drops of candle wax fixes this issue, but for the price, should not have to seal their product because they did such a lousy job.  Just my personal experience.  Overall I am very satisfied with the 3/2/7 loads and will continue to shoot them.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

I didn't notice if the buffer leaked out on these shells. That could be what it is. Thanks

Same here. I made 35 on the 11th of this month and at the rate I kill turkeys my 6 yr old might be shooting some of my 3" - 2-1/4 oz when he's 35...lol. I'm glad I stocked up when I could get them for 19.99 at my local Academy. I do worry about the buffer situation but I try to keep a check on them occasionally. I'll put a few drops of Elmer's on them if needed.

Was lucky to get my hands on a case of the old Remington green/yellow box Hevishot from years gone by. That is one reason ive never gone to the newer hevi from the stories I hear about drastic inconsistencies in shells.

The thing that has me scratching my head is the shells I shot were old and new and the patterns not good.

Yeah that doesn't make sense to me either. I do have a few boxes of newer lots and they shoot noticeably less (30-40 pellets) than older lots. But in your case they're both low. You've got me stumped...

:welcomeOG:ive gpt a bunch of.the old Remington  turkey and warterfowl loads in jevi. I still have the orginal hevi shells that environmetal loaded before remington loaded it for a few years.

I guess I just hit a bad box even with the old ones.

Never had a problem, I shoot the 3 in. 7 in my SX2 in a.670 jelyhead, buy a box every year and they all pattern the same and kill great, gets well over 200 in a 10 at 40 yards.
Hunt every day as if it were your last.

I agree with that..I have never had a problem with the hevi 13 3/2/7's. I am going to run some of those through the Rem 870/ Indian Creek .665 and see what it does.  I was shooting 280's with that combo.  I shot the magblends very well and they were new shells. Shocked to not see the Hevi 13 3/2/6's not perform.

I get decent numbers from my Hevi-13 3-2-7's.
They throw a very even 200+ pellets at 40 yards consistently.
No other she'll I have shot does as well.
