I've been thinking about this for sometime now, and I'm still not over it. On Christmas day I had lost a great friend. Jim was an avid outdoors man who cherished his wife and children. He was truly a great family man!
We had great times together. We had created an inseparable bond over the years through our work, hunting and fishing. He will be sorely missed this spring, as I track though the woods we had shared.
This photo was taken of him a couple of years back when we were working a bird. What a great spring this was,and this is how I want to remember him.

God Bless you my brother, and may you be granted eternal everlasting life.

Rest in peace.

Not sure what to say but I pray you find peace and your friends family as well.

Always remember the good times that you had.  Things will get better in time.

:mycross: Prayers you find the strength to deal with your loss. Rejoice in the fact that you were blessed to be his earthly friend and rest easy knowing one day you'll join him again forever in paradise;where the turkeys are always gobbling and the crappie are always biting!! GOD be with you my friend! :cross2:

Hate it for you man. I'm sure Jim is smiling down on you and in some way will still share your hunts in spirt.

Sounds tactless, but "time".  It heals.  You'll always have a scar of emptiness but with time you'll forget the hurt a focus on the good times.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Life is a terminal disease.  Enjoy every minute you get, because none of our days here are guaranteed.
Keep your friend's memory in your heart and find another friend to share good times with.  You'll both be better off for it.

It sucks to lose a close friend.  Be thankful you got to enjoy each other's company while you were together.

I know the feeling. Sorry for your loss. I hope you make another friend to help fill the void. Remember that you'll be making someone else's life better too.

Jim

Gone but never forgotten.  You will now always have him at the tree next to you on every hunt.   :cross2:
