I have a great friend who's 15 year old boy is eaten up with the outdoors like I was. He is my number 1 trot line man. I can trust him in the mighty Miss to run the boat, put out and take up lines, take fish off and bait! He is a mountain of a man at 6' 280 lbs. He killed his first long beard while in ks last year on a late trip with me, my son and his dad. He actually killed 2 in ks and 2 in ne. I slipped the bones from his first lb without him knowing and made this call for him this afternoon. It is a small gesture of appreciation for all he does for me! It's ugly but has a roosted hen in it!

I like it! Teach him how to play it and that kid will carry it until he's an old man.

That gift will remain a pleasant reminder of his youth in the years ahead...  What a cool gift, that will become more and more appreciated as the years pass.
Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
