Good cheap recoil pad that worked for me

I bought "The Shooter's Friend" recoil pad this month and put it on my benelli super nova to shoot yesterday and man it worked great.

It's just a simple slide on, thick pad.  Literally nothing to it an it cost $20.

I probably won't take it into the field with me but it took the sting out of the Longbeards I was shooting for sure.

Something to think about if you don't wanna drop bigger money for a limbsaver or grind-to-fit recoil pad.

My limbsaver was only $22 shipped to my local Walmart. Screwed right on and helps in the field as well as the bench.

For turkey hunting a slip on wouldn't be a problem, but I've found that for fast shots like skeet, or bird hunting they tend to slip around, or side to side. I install grind to fit pacmyers on my shotguns and rifles.

I am going to check it out, I see it now @ Cabelas.com, just read the Cabelas reviews, got great reviews

I got a sims slip on to help with patterning. Works great at the range and then take it off, usually don't feel the kick when actually shooting at a bird.

Y'all are going to laugh but I found that if I fold my cheapo shotgun case in half and put it between my shotgun and my shoulder, it takes the kick out completely. Once in the field, your adrenaline will be running when that bird comes in so you won't notice it. I didn't want to spend $20 or $30 on a recoil pad that I am only going to use a few times out of the year.

I also used the Sims slip on recoil pad. In my opinion they work great.
