Just got a sx3 turkey edition w the 24" barrel. Think they market it as long beard edition and comes w Briley choke supposed to be made for winchesters longbeard shells. Anybody else shot one of this and if so what combos looked good.

No, but I would love to hear any feedback you have.  Have you had a chance to pattern?

RiverRoost

Not yet. Had planned on yesterday but a hog hunt took place instead. If wind dies may try this afternoon. Gonna give my .670 rhino/nitro from my other gun a try first

Have the waterfowl with 28 inch bbl. indian creek and hevi shot #7 does great. Just got a patternmaster code black turkey for it to try, will see how it compares when the weather warms a bit.

I just got the 12 gauge version and patterned it ( at 30 yards) with the supplied choke. I don't have pics but it was spot on. I couldn't be happieras there was minimal recoil. Looking forward to introducing it to 'Old Tom...

What kind of shell did you shoot w that choke?

jimmy v

Remington Nitro #5s and Winchester Longbeard XR #5s. Both patterened great. Not sure the Longbeards are worth it unless you are shooting 50 yards are so. I think you will like the gun. Let me know how you do once you pattern it.

I don't know about the turkey edition but I shot the SX3 with a 26" barrel last year and I shot the Indian Creek .670 and Nitro's....Devastating!
