Remington 870 20 guage customized to fit her needs and shooting federal hw 7  or hevi 7s,    Can build a sweet rig for pretty cheap, and top it with nice fiber optics or red dot.   The only downside to this is that if you get her one, you'll need one too so you can match lol.  The plus is if she don't like it, then you still get a sweet rig     Can't loose on this one.   Blessings

Look at a Franchi AL48. My wife shoots one and she is the same size as your girlfriend. Get a good choke and get something she is comfortable shooting and make sure it fits. Nothing turns off a young/new shooter faster than an ill shooting gun. This is also a great youth gun. My son shot his first turkey with one. Good luck, Al Baker

My wife shoots a benelli nova 20 ga and loves it...undertaker choke hevi mag blend or straight6 does a good job

What would you recommend for a load in 4,5,6. We can't shoot anything smaller then 6's in Ontario

Hevi 13 6s, fed hw 6s, and I've had excellent luck with federal 15/16 lead 6s.  Great 35 yard patterns with undertaker and ssx

Rem 870, just make sure to fit her to the standard size and the youth model to see what fits better. The. I would suggest the Remington RSF choke and federal heavyweight shells.

I'll second that on the Federal 6's, I use these shells when I know the shot is going to be 30 or so yds
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

Id personally say something in a semi depending on her tolerance to recoil. Prob an 11-87. Either 12 or a 20. My ex wife was similar size and was able to use the 12 but don't push her
