Can't help you there...not sure..
But if you drive alone you might be more of a "target" than if you were escorted by someone native to the area.
Something to think about I guess but I'm sure plenty of people have done it..
You will still need all the proper paperwork for the bird skins when you cross the border so make sure you have it.
Something going on down there with the Avian flu I heard..You have to look into all that before you book.
Any reputable outfitter should be able to provide you with all the proper info.

When I first was researching Gould's hunts I was also a little concerned with the lack of reviews on El Corral on the internet. But I did more research on mike murray. Mike has a ton of experience with gould hunts. He was a partner with another big time Gould outfitter for many years. He then separated and started el corral last year I believe. If you google mike murray Gould's you will find who he was partners with. The ranch el corral hunts also has many years experience hunting Gould's, they originally guided hunts for lovett Williams in the 1990's and 2000's. I called a lot of the references. They were all positive, but one trend I noticed is a lot of guys when I asked said they didn't do Facebook or internet stuff. Mostly old guys lol, guess most Gould hunters aren't guys in their 20's and 30's lol. This was a big reason why I wrote my hunt story up on here. I had a great hunt and wanted people that would be googling El Corral like I did to see it.
