Today I picked up a Ithaca turkeyslayer in 12. I've been looking for one of these for awhile. A friend of mine who was with me was kinda upset that he didn't see it first. As soon as I Laid eyes on it I knew it was coming home with me.

That is a sweet looking rig for sure!!!Nice find. Ive always been interested in the ithacas being that im a lefty.Got me to thinking that i actually killed my first turkey as a kid with my uncles 37 featherweight 16 ga. If you dont mind me asking how much did it cost ya? From what i have seen the turkeyslayers really hold their value well. What kind of choke is that? Let us know how it patterns.

Nice     An old one with a 2 3/4" rooster Xr 6 shot might be a candidate for a turkey hunt in the future

The gun was made in 1996 in New York. Not sure about the choke, there is not any writing on it.I paid 430 for it and it came with the bushnell sportsman red dot. I've always wanted one but could never find a used one at shows or local gun shops until today.I think I got a ok deal on it, the only one I found on gunbroker was also a late 90's model and it was going for 550.

Even the pawn shops are ridiculous here. The last two I have seen they were asking $700, obviously used, with no optics.
Sounds like you got a pretty good deal......I'm on the lookout for a Turkeyslayer 20ga if you happen to see one!
