I bought this youth model gun for my son a couple of years ago. He used it for spring turkey the last two seasons. Now at age 8 he wants to deer hunt this year. I would like to get another barrel for the gun with a scope so I can just switch back and forth depending on what he is hunting. I cant find a smooth bore with a scope mount. Do you know if they make one? I don't want to shoot sabots. They are way too expensive and I have already bought about 100 slugs for the gun.
Thanks
Chad

I looked around and it looks like everything set up for a scope in 20 gauge is a rifled barrel.
You might try this out on a smooth bore with a vent rib, there are numerous set ups:      https://www.google.com/webhp?source=search_app&gws_rd=ssl#q=red+dot+adapters+for+vent+rib+shotgun

Thanks.  That actually helps a lot.  I've never seen a rib mount before.

I don't know if open sights would be a consideration but you could use a standard ribbed barrel with some Truglo Pro-Series open sights. They easily mount to the rib and have fiber optic inserts that make them very visible even in low light.

In 1993 I had (still have) a Remington SPST in 12 gauge that came with a vent rib barrel, It did not shoot POA so I had to put a scope on it, the only place I could find an adapter for the barrel was Remington.  It attached to the Vent Rib but the place to mount the scope extended back over the receiver like rifled barrels now days.
I tried getting another one but Remington quit making them, then I searched around a bit and located the above.  Good Luck
