Calling all trumpet players

Alright here's the deal. I haven't been playing a trumpet very long. Started getting decent and had some dental work done. That messed it up for a little bit but then I got used to it and could play without front teeth better than I could before. Now that my teeth are fixed I'm having a hell of a time.

The way I play Is Right handed right of center on my mouth. That's where most of my dental work was done. That's what feels natural to me when it comes to playing.  Here's the kicker, now I sound the best when I play right handed, left of center on my mouth. Before the dental work I couldnt play on the left side without it squealing every time I tried to yelp.

I originally set out trying to play left handed because I shoot left handed.  Just can't do it. Feels awkward holding it and trying to work my hands left handed. It also feels awkward playing right handed left of center. Sooooo.... do I play the way I used to and hope it comes back to me or play on the left where it sounds best but feels awkward. (This is right handed by the way)

Another kicker,  this is just a temporary bridge I have in. I'll go back in a couple weeks and get the permanent one which will fit a little different and change everything again. Frustrating time to try to learn the trumpet with all this going on.

I'm far from good but before all of this I would've felt completely confident working a bird with one. Very frustrated.

Forget it until you get things stabilized.

Come on man, get your priorities straight and get those front teeth pulled pulled back out. The turkeys will not notice if you do not have front teeth as long as you sound good. ;D

X2....lol Seriously, as mentioned I think it would best to let things get to permanent status but it's sounding like you may have to get used to playing it slightly different than you did originally. I bet you can make it work.....Strutter.
Anybody seen America lately?

To much thought going into it.  Just let it progress, it will work itself out.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

Use whichever side you feel the most comfortable but keep practicing both ways.

You need to just hang in there. It will work out.
