Spring Creek Calls

This is what the back of my berber sweater looked like after a half mile walk carrying a longbeard over my shoulder. The seat of my pants was about the same. Now I see why I used a vest for years.

Save the slender plastic bags that newspapers are delivered in. I carry several rolled up with rubber bands. Slip on the head and secure with band and you'll not have that problem. A plus is they are usually bright colors, orange green etc so added safety as well. I will slip them on even when carrying in my vest as some close shots are extremely messy.

Im only 5'8" so that usually what by rear end looks like.

Thats a stain.im.proud to wear.

I never carry a bird out in my vest and I never have that problem.  I guess I just take care to hold the bird where I don't get bloody.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I try to be careful usually don't get to messy

Those are the best blood stains a turkey hunter can have!  It is something I look forward to every time I go out,...and on occasion, they actually end up appearing!

:TooFunny:......I bet you wear gloves too clean your bird too.

Well i like  the vest.  The blood stain is alright , just be nice and dont walk into a restaurant or gas- convenience store.
Project a better image in public. Thanks

Snoodsniper

I'd kill to have those stains...pun intended.

tomstopper

If those stains appear, I never really cared.....

Nothing a little peroxide want take out. When you jelly head one that is going to happen. I do not use my vest any more. Just thought him over the shoulder and back to the truck. I have thought of getting some of those bags for the head but just never have. It is just apart of getting a bird. If you carry them over your shoulder like Mike Miller you will have a nice bloody shoulder stain.

drenalinld

Miller's shirt is more blood than thread...lol

I kind of expect my turkey hunting clothes to get blood on 'em in the first place.  I like the idea of using a plastic bag over the head if it matters.

A few dried blood spots on the backs of my snake boots reminds me of hunts when they happened.
