That's cool. I killed a black winged eastern long ago that had white toenails.

I have seen more interesting things while trying to gain access to properties...

Been greeted by drunks with guns, and I believe I came across the family from Deliverance...  But the most interesting was a piece of property owned by some sort of cooperative hippie community.

As I approached a "house" at the front of the property, I got no answer at the front door.  So I rang a bell.  When I say that, there was a large bell hanging from a tree and I rang it.

Someone from behind the house answered me, and I was told to go on back.  As I went under some sort of ivy-covered awning, I saw, but did not know how to react to about 12 naked ladies (ranging from 30 to 65 or so).

As I was standing there completely speechless, one of the ladies finally asked what they could do for me.  As I shook my head to regain my senses, I was finally somehow able to relate to them that I was hoping to gain access to hunt their property for turkeys and quail.  Surprisingly the response was polite and direct; they thanked me for asking, but did not believe in hunting nor allow any on their property.

On the bright side, another land-owner who had denied me access had put me onto this ranch (as it was loaded with turkey)...  Obviously done as a joke to me, but I returned to relate the story to him...  After getting back up off the ground from laughing so hard, he gave me permission on his piece...  Where I killed my first spring turkey.

.
Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.

I once saw a large dark catlike animal with a tail as long as its body or longer at about 250 yards early one morning. They say no cats like that in Baldwin Co. Also several years ago I would be listening and hear a ferocious growling and all wildlife stopped making any sounds. I believe that it was a bear looking for action.
