WV season finished with a bang!!

To bad the bang was a miss,resulting in me not tagging out for the first time in so long I can't even remember.Although I had a blast chasing these stubborn birds this year,it was by far the worst season I have ever experienced.Iwork night shift and usually don't get in the woods till about 9 in the morning,which really works for me most years but this year it was as dead as could be.This last morning bird was a hope and prayer bird that had run the other direction every time I hunted him,except this morning when he came running in,along with 3 buddies.It really shook me up when they came so fast and that's what I'm using for an excuse. It just gives me more to look forward to next year.

I was out this morning to, marshall co, didnt hear a thing all day. Didnt want to give up since it was the last day. Made some calls around 1030, figured since i hadnt heard anything I'd move on around 11. Well, when I stood up had two that had snuck in on me from behind. All I heard where the putts and wings, saw two white heards flying away.

This was by far the best season ever for me..I was out everyday but 2 and heard birds every day but 2.

Killed a really nice bird Monday.

I hate to see it go but I am beat..I won't be caught up on sleep until July!!
