Run n gun from a pop up blind?

Have any of you done this? I love to run and gun for turkeys when shotgun hunting. But after filling one tag I am wanting to fill the other with my recurve. I would think I would have a chance with no blind if I was using a compound and could draw and hold and shoot at a far range but with my recurve I limit myself to 25 yards and can't draw and hold like a compound. I have always bow hunted deer with a recurve and could never go to a compound just for my own personal reasons.

I can set up my blind in about 1 minute. Take down is about 3 minutes but take down wouldn't matter so much speed wise. The downside is carrying the darn thing around even though it slips into a nice backpack style bag when you have it put up.

I guess I'm just asking if any of you have tried to run and gun with a blind and if so do you have any tips?

I have done some run n gun from my pop up blind and it isn't too difficult for me. It sets up in less than a minute easily. My only advice to you is make sure your blind is tall enough to shoot a recurve from. My dome style blind is not unless I shoot from my knees when inside of it.

We kinda did in Nebraska. My girl and I. We even "turtled" along in it with birds all around. It felt stupid but they didn't care. The local horses did wonder what in the heck we were up to! Lol. As far as tips. I can't offer much. The only thing that helped me pack everything (my girl was 10 at the time, she had a hard time packing herself and her gun) was a elastic cargo net. It was from a auto parts store. About 18"x 3' with hooks on the corners and middle. It quickly unhooked from the blind and held decoys well.

I have a big mike blind. I can stand and shoot my recurve if I bend at the knees. Which I do anyway on a normal shot. I've been shooting out of it quite a bit lately. Thanks for everything so far!

I bow hunt mostly anymore and can run and "gun" if need be, I have a Magnus rack pack, it is a blind carrier and chair in one, pretty nice unit though I need to alter mine a little for comfort, I have packed all my gear including a harvested turkey on it with no issue, other than all the weight!

Made by the company who make magnus broadheads.
