I hunted yesterday evening and had the birds go around and fly up behind me last night.  Well we was gonna get a late start at work today so I figured i would go out for a little while this morning,  I only heard him gobble once before he flew down, he landed right below me right on top of the cliff and I was afraid to shoot with him being so close to the cliff, the hens was coming around the hill about 20 yards below me, so I figured he would follow and when he finally made it to the field he went to chasen the jakes around and the hens started over the hill so I figured i had better take the shot. The 20ga and federal heavyweight #7s really made a believer out of me because he was a little farther than I thought but he hit the ground like a ton of bricks.I had #2 on the ground by 7:15. He had  12 1/2 in beard 1 3/8 spur and the other was broke off and weighted 22pound 9 ounces

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
