Any of y'all that changed from the standard to the pistol grip have a strong opinion on whether it was a good move or not? I'm thinking about this change but can't get myself to commit to it.
Any one regret it?
Thanks for your insight.

Thanks to a forum member I switched to a thumbhole stock for my 870 last year.
I wish I had done it sooner...

I wish I would have had a shurshot stock sooner. I have had no problems with mine--it carries better than I thought it would and I hold rock steady.

I love mine. It's a lot easier to hold on to while waiting for a gobbler to come a little closer. Plus it doesn't seem to jump as much during the shot.

I don't use one but a friend of mine does. I really like the feel of it. I went with the Phoenix( adjustable lop) because my boys will be shooting it.

I seem the be the odd one here but I hate pistol grip/thumbhole stocks on shotguns. Or rifles for that matter. Don't really feel any better to me and I absolutely hate the way they look. But at the same time I've always been kind of a traditionalist when it comes to guns. Which is odd because I carried an m16 or m4 for four years so you'd think I'd like them more.

The pistol grip/thumb hole stocks are more comfortable to hold, at the ready, while waiting on a gobbler to show. I have a Steady Grip SBE that I really like, but I also pull the old school Remington 11-87 every now and then just for old time sake.
For a dedicated turkey gun, I think the pistol/thumbhole stocks are the way to go. JMO
