shooting low

Sighting in I am shooting low, buddy shoots my gun right on.if I move the target higher I hit decent. Any help would be great.

Pay attention to where your cheek is on the stock. Try different positions and see if that helps

With shooting there are a lot of things that can happen to influence a shot, I was a primary marksmanship instructor for the marine corps for three years. I have seen just about every possible mistake imaginable and had to fix it. I could write a book explaining how to shoot properly, but if you look up either the army or marine corps or law enforcement shooting manuals they will at least give you a basic starting point. Without seeing you do it, I can't really critique you. Really pay attention to sight alignment and make sure you aren't anticipating the shot, a lot of people anticipate it, and either exaggerate recoil by leaning backwards, or get defensive by pushing forward against it, forcing the shot either low or high respectively. Practice shooting with a totally unloaded weapon so when you pull the trigger and hear a click your body should stay totally still. Also make sure your not staring at the target, the sights should cover the target you shouldn't be able to see the center over the top of your bead.

If you can't correct how you are cheeking the gun, I would put a fastfire III or similar type of sighting device on your gun, I believe it would help you a lot.

All good advice. Sounds like the comb of your stock may be too low for you. Every one is built a little bit different, your gun may fit your buddy's frame better. A quick and easy way to check is find something to tape to your stock to raise the comb a bit, like some thick  cardboard. Then shoot and see if it raises your impact. If it does, keep adding shims till you get the desired point of impact, then measure how thick the cardboard is. Then all you have to do is get some Cheek-Eze self adhesive pad in the desired thickness and install it on the stock and you should be good to go. Or you could go with adjustable sights that clamp to your rib like tru-glo or Williams. Good luck, hope you get it shooting where you want. You have a mid bead on your rib? If not it could be the fit of your gun

Newer ammo and tight extended chokes wll often times require you to get sights of some sorts for your turkey gun.

If you are shooting low, adjust the rear sight up until your pattern is centered on the point of aim. Forget how your buddy shoots your gun. Tailor the sights to yourself.. Everyone shoots and sees differently.

I may have found the problem. I right shoulder has always been about 2 inches lower than the left,  after aiming both right and left handed at a fixed point . When aiming with my my right the barrel is about 1 1/2 " lower compared to aiming left handed, I put a folded up tshirt about 3 inches thick on the comb it raised the barrel to the same height. Going to have to shoot like that and see what happens.

My gun, right out of the box, always shot high to the left, no matter what load I put through the gun. I since then scoped it with a 1x4 Leupold scope, and that ended the problem for me.

i got a mossberg 835 ulti mag that shoots low idk why tried several different loads atleast 100 dollar with ammo this year in the end i ended up with longbeards 3inch 5shot

I recommend getting some sort of sights, True Glo Mag Gobble Dot are what I use.
