More strutters this morning. These don't really count because they are in my driveway. My neighbor feeds them year round, so I can't hunt them. Still fun to see, though.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I know, it's tempting. However, in NC it would still be considered hunting over bait...even if you had nothing to do with the feeding.  It really wouldn't be 'hunting, either. These birds will practically eat out of her hand!
The fact that I get to see big gobblers everyday is still really cool. It is frustrating when I drive an hour one way to hunt and don't see or hear a single bird only to return home to a pile of longbeards in my driveway.
