Just curious if anyone has tried these shells in the T-shot size in there 12 gauge 3.5" with a certain choke/or if its even safe too shoot in a tight constriction turkey choke. The reason i ask about these loads is because in our area where we hunt the coyote population has increased to substantial population.
The last four turkey seasons i have killed a coyote on opeing day , 2 while trying to hunt birds that were roosted the evening before, had them come running in busting turkeys of the roost while they were gobbling the other two came to mouth call yelping. If any have similar experiences please share.

I run yotes with hounds and call them as well. Quite a few of my buddies shoot the DC shells out of their turkey chokes with good results. I've shot them out of my Rhino chokes in both my Benelli SBE 2 and Mossberg 835. I have found that Carlson's Dead Coyote Choke patterns just alittle bit better in my guns though.

Awesome yote kills. Me and a buddy have recently started yote hunting with a primos alpha dog call, he has takin several with it. Carlsons has the hevi-shot dead coyote choke tubes on sale for about $30 bucks usually around $60. Think ill pick one up to try in my BPS. We have tried night hunting. Seen your nite hunting rig in first pic what brand are you using?

Never used the dead coyote hevi shot, but have shot a few while turkey hunting with hevi #6 & #7's.

I use a Night Eyes Headlamp and a Elusive Wildlife Tech XLR 250 gun mounted light on my shotgun. Night Eyes also makes a fantastic gun mounted light as well that I use. You can definitely identify a target at 200yds if using a rifle. I use a shotgun primarily at night however.

Thanks for the info. I have been Looking at purchasing a elusive wildlife for awhile now. Currently we have been using a 250 yrd primos varmint hunting light. Its ok but I've seen videos of the elusive and its a world of difference. I researched the night eyes headlamp it would be very useful on a solo hunt. Normally we have 1 person on the gun and the second scanning with a spotlight plugged into a jump-box lol

Do you ever hunt them by calling via electronic or mouth calls? Or primarily dogs?

Been calling them for over 15 years, VERY difficult to get them to respond here in PA. Nothing like out West. I've only killed about 10 by calling. We typically kill about 20 a year in front of the hounds. I use a Foxpro caller primarily and only hunt them at night. Fox are a different story, especially greys. They respond very aggressively and are much easier to kill.

I agree about the greys. Recently my buddy was able to go on a late evening hunt , i was unable to make it , he called in two greys within 3 mins of the call starting. on a powerline and took them both within a minute of each other. With a 870 and the dead coyote loads.

Don't know about the Dead Coyote load but I do know that Hevi-13 7's flat out stomps them at 30 yards! Not even a twitch!
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

I believe it, hevi shot hits like a hammer. I found the dead coyote in a gun shop for $23 per ten usually its around $50. Gonna pattern it this weekend.
