Predator management for turkeys?

Bobcats and coyotes are probably the only predators out there that can handle an adult bird, but what about nest raiders and poult eaters? Coons, possums, skunks, what else?

Basically any furbearer that's a carnivore makes the list. When you consider how many nest coons break up they probably account for more turkeys than any of the others.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

There's one pretty big area that I use to hunt quite a bit. Back it the early to mid 90's the birds were pretty thick there. There was a group of boys that coon hunted that area pretty hard back then. Today nobody has really coon hunted it in the last 8 to 10 years and there is not 1/3 of the turkeys there use to be.
