First off let me say hello and let everyone, I'm new to the forum and to turkey hunting. I'm pretty excited already but I have a whole lot of questions. I will be taking my daughter with me to hunt and she is very small so she will be hunting with a stoeger 20 ga sxs that I purchased to play and shoot skeet with. I am trying to figure out what chokes I should buy and see that carlsons make turkey chokes with a restriction like .575 but they have other extended chokes that are .585 and .595. Being that it's a double barrel I would like to maybe use different size chokes and the turkey chokes I think extend farther than the others so it wouldn't match to use a turkey and a different. My questions are. Should I use two turkey chokes or go with the less restricted? Also is there that big a difference from 575 to 585 and 595. Thanks in advance for y'all's input and I'll be asking a lot more questions on the future.

Now as in chokes you have a few.  The Tru-Glow and IC work along with Our choke.  We like the 562 in one barrel and say 575 rang in other.  Now you can run 562 in both barrels with HTL in one barrel and lead in other.

Thanks for the reply sumtoy. I went to your website to research your products a little bit and I see you can custom make some pretty tight patterns at 40 yrds that can create issues hitting at shorter ranges. Would the 562 be your 40 yrd pattern and the  575 be the shorter range?  If it was you shooting this shotgun what would you do, the diff chokes or the same choke with htl in one and lead in other?

Longshanks

I shoot Pure Gold .555 in the top barrel and .570 in the bottom. It shoots tight patterns with Hevi shot but when kids hunt with the gun we load it with lead and the patterns are not overly tight. Good luck.

I would run HTL with 562 in one barrel. (30 to 40 yard)  Then the short rang I you set it up with lead load.  No need to shoot the big $$$$ loads at the short rang.   Now as for choke try something in the 570 to 575 rang.  I trade chokes out if you don't like the pattern.  I think few others will work with you also.
