Ok, finally made it back home and ready to post some pics! 10 1/2" beard, 1 1/4" spurs and 24 lb 4 oz. bird, NWTF score 70.25

These pics were taken while a severe thunderstom was blowing in. Killed this bird at 2:00 ambushed him walking down a ridge. Saw him coming so I ducked into a barn for cover. Never made the first call.

I too will be hunting Minn past the May 15th deadline...don't know about an upgrade, however, late season birds can be rather rewarding!!  One can always hope!!!
