I got the Callmaking Blues.....yep I got 'em....still making a few......but man I got the Blues....Here is something i have been doing inbetween calls....made the grandkids some sling shots....the first are made from Osage, one piece cut out on the band saw and sanded by hand on the belt sander to final shape.

This one is made from some colored acrylic sheet I have n the shop, I laminated it in orange and black....pretty small pocket rocket....

What is everyone else making during the off season?

They look great. I had totally forgot about how much fun I used to have with mine as a kid until I saw these. I am sure your grandkids will have a blast with them.

Cool Pappy! I'm having difficulty figuring out how that acrylic one works...Looks like it would pull one side with greater force than the other...Clue us/me?

Those are some cool looking sling shots
Go Big Blue!!!!!!

ferocious calls

Nice looking shooters. Man we used to use those things everyday when we were kids. It is how we started hunting before our dads' would take us.

Been pounding out backscratchers and calls. The off season has not started yet here.  ;D

Thank you for the comments, the acrylic SS has an ergo assymetrical shape, it is intended for the shooter to place your pinky in the hole on the handle and wrap theri index finger around the forks about an inch below the top. But this one is made for a child's hand so I have to adjust the hold on an adult hand, see pic. You can shoot it either over the top or sideways, I have some tubing and pouch coming for it this week, when it arrives I will put it together and post pics.
