Would you give up Turkey hunting for a whole season so you could...

I've always wanted to go to Alaska and fish for halibut and salmon, but there's ZERO chance that I'd ever miss a turkey season. A fish tugging on my line, no matter how big it is or how hard it's fighting wouldn't be nearly as exciting as hunting spring gobblers to me, personally.

I wouldn't give up turkey season to do anything.

And yes, I mean ANYTHING!

That's a no brainer, that's a once in a life time trip with your friend, turkey season will come again.
Considering you only get one tag here in Michigan I could give it up once in awhile. Alaska is on my bucket list.

no problem for me,no missing turkey season, don't care for fishing anyway.
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

If the $$ is the issue I would sell firewood!  get a part time job!  sell something to do both!

I've always sold firewood. Couple years ago I made a few thousand in just a couple short months. It ain't bad unless you get into some knotty hickory or elm.

Nope. I love fishing but I would never give up a turkey season to fish.

I've had to make similar decisions in my lifetime. Turkey hunting always won. Only thing that's ever came close was archery elk hunting during the bugle.

I agree with you about the archery elk but then again I have elk in my backyard and hunt them even when I don't have a tag.

I would not even give it a second thought it would be turkey hunting over fishing any day, and I have to travel out of state to do most of my turkey hunting.
