I have an mossberg 835 with a 20 inch barrel and have been shooting winchester extended range 3.5 inch 6s with great results.  The shells are getting harder to find and Im considering making the switch on ammo now to something I get get to shoot well and then Ill buy a bunch of it.  Im shooting a carlsons .690 now and get 180's to 190's with the extended range 6's.  Id like to have something that will shoot similar and Im looking at nirto 3 inch 2 oz 7s any opinions on this load or another I should try out.  What kind of numbers could I expect with hevi 13 3.5 inch 6's ?
Thanks

I shot 3.5" magblends out of my 20" barreled 835 and got an average of just over 200 hit in the 10" circle.  This was with factory .695 choke.

I have an 835 like your.  With a Jellyhead and 3.5" magblends I would get over 200.  Best was 22x.

I would recommend that you consider Hevi-13 shotshells. They are consistent performers and are normally very readily available in most locations. I prefer #6 shot but also use #7 on occasion.

Hevi-Shot is good if you can find a good lot.  For being $6-7 a shell one should not have to look for certain lots, but that is another subject on its own.

Don't have to look any further than Hevi 13 #6 or #7's.

This ^^^^^^^^^ I like Hevi-13 3-2-7's. I get solid numbers with that shell and my SSX .670.

Hevi-13 #7's will be hard to beat.

But to get the full effect of the load, you will be better off ditching that Carlson's .690 choke and going with a TruGlo SSX .670 choke.

Thanks guys,

Ill see how the patterns look with the hevi 13 6's

I know stardots are next to impossible to find anymore, but you can get real close to those #'s with lead 6's and save some money
