I'm going be using my 2 3/4" 1100 12ga this fall, i wanna use htl 6s all i can find is hevi shot and they are traveling at 1090fps, seems a little slow compared to some lead loads and is slower than federal hw. Any thoughts, experience?

The Hevi 6s will kill farther than we can mention othis sight even at 1090 f.p.s.

IMO You can't go wrong with any of Hevi Shot's loads.

surehuntsalot

they will kill just as far as the 3" will as long as the pattern holds together
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

bought some fed hw 7's today , might try tomarrow in a rem 870 supermag 26"
also have some win xr 6's.   have not shot them through a Remington , but Beretta 3901 and Carlton ported was good.

The old man used them his first season a while back and was knocking down birds at some good distances.
